Clive Owen Emotional About Ravenseat's Future on Our Farm Next Door

Clive Owen, the star of Our Yorkshire Farm, made an emotional admission about the future of Ravenseat during a repeat episode of Our Farm Next Door, which aired on Friday and is available on Channel 4. The 70-year-old farmer reflected on his life and the legacy he hopes to leave behind.

Birthday Celebrations Prompt Reflection

Towards the end of the episode, Clive was presented with birthday gifts from his daughters and former wife, Amanda Owen, as the family celebrated his milestone birthday. He said, "Well, it was lovely for the girls to give me the sheep horns for my birthday. I'm using them for paperweights. Everyone needs a paperweight. And thank you for the coat, because I've been saying lately, I need a coat, haven't I?"

Speaking directly to the camera, Clive expressed his gratitude: "I'm very, very fortunate to still be well and still be doing things. Life has been great." He added, "I definitely feel privileged to have led the life, absolutely. It's such a strange thing, isn't it, to come out of a mining village in South Yorkshire and to end up here."

Hopes for the Next Generation

Clive shared his hopes for the future of Ravenseat, saying, "The most important thing in all of this is the kids. It would be lovely to think that some of the children would take over and farm here at Ravenseat. And it would be lovely if my great-grandchildren are here in 100 years, wouldn't it? But whether they will, who knows?"

This is not the first time Clive has spoken about his children inheriting the farm. In an earlier episode of Our Farm Next Door, he confessed, "I am almost 70 now, so I have got to think about what comes next. It is something the family is discussing at the moment to see where the future lies for everyone. It is nice for me to pass on my shears."

Uncertainty and Discussion

Clive acknowledged the uncertainty of the future, stating, "What the future holds, you can never quite be sure. It is something the family are discussing at the moment to see where the future lies for everyone." The episode highlights the ongoing conversations within the Owen family about the legacy of Ravenseat.

Our Farm Next Door is available to watch on Channel 4.
