Boy, 10, in intensive care after motocross crash

A 10-year-old motocross rider from Manchester is recovering in intensive care after a 'devastating' crash left him with multiple serious injuries.

The crash and injuries

Corey was riding at Preston Docks, an off-road motorbike venue in Lancashire, when he was involved in the accident. He suffered multiple fractures to his spine and pelvis, severe internal bleeding and multiple broken ribs.

The schoolboy also suffered serious injuries to his liver, lung and adrenal gland, according to a GoFundMe appeal launched to support him and his family. Brad Boycott, who organised the fundraiser, said Corey was a 'superstar of a young man' who 'lives and breathes' motocross.
