A woman arrested after a stabbing on a street in Gorton has been released on bail, police have confirmed.
The incident happened on Valance Close at around 7.20pm on Saturday (October 31). According to eyewitnesses, police descended on the street as people were out trick-or-treating for Halloween.
Woman found with stab wounds
A woman was found with stab wounds at the scene. She was taken to hospital by paramedics.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson initially said a woman and a man had been arrested on suspicion of assault. Today (Tuesday) a spokesperson said only a woman was arrested.
Bail and ongoing enquiries
She has since been bailed. Enquiries into the incident are continuing.
A cordon was put in place on Valance Close as emergency crews responded to the incident. The street was reportedly taped off into the early hours of Sunday morning.
