Dzumhur's Confrontation with Umpire

Damir Dzumhur's fine stemmed from an incident during his first-round match against British wildcard Arthur Fery. At 2-1 in the second set, Dzumhur believed his serve was a let and sent the ball into the net, but the umpire did not call a let, awarding the point to Fery. The world No. 105 stormed to the net to confront the chair umpire, claiming Fery also thought it was a let. Fery denied stopping, and Dzumhur asked him to 'look in my eyes' to confirm. Dzumhur lost the match in four sets.

Moutet's Racket Smashing

Frenchman Corentin Moutet smashed his racket over his knee three times during his first-round loss to Marcos Giron, resulting in a £5,600 fine for racket abuse.

Venus and Serena Williams Not Fined

Venus Williams, 46, was not on the fines list despite declining a post-match press conference after her opening mixed doubles loss with Kevin Krawietz. Refusing media commitments carries a fine of up to £37,000 ($50,000), but it is at the discretion of Grand Slam supervisors. Serena Williams was also not fined after skipping press following her first-round singles defeat to Maya Joint, as she had tweaked her knee and provided a quote to the media. Players are permitted to skip media due to injury or illness.
