Two teenagers have died and a 16-year-old boy is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a horrific multi-vehicle crash on the A13 in Newham, east London.
Emergency response and casualties
Scotland Yard said emergency services responded to reports of a collision on the eastbound carriageway at 8.15pm on Thursday. Two men, aged 18 and 19, were pronounced dead at the scene. Three people were taken to hospital, including a 16-year-old boy with life-threatening injuries.
Arrests made
Police have arrested three men, aged 18, 19 and 23, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop. They remain in custody.
