Donald Trump has confirmed that the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan will not be livestreamed, reversing an earlier announcement.
Pentagon plan reversed
Last week, the Pentagon said the firing squad execution would be livestreamed, which would have made it the first military execution in more than 65 years.
Trump described Hasan as a "very bad and evil man" in comments confirming the change.
Background
Hasan was convicted for the 2009 shooting at Fort Hood, Texas, which killed 13 people and wounded more than 30 others.
The execution is set to be the first military execution in over six decades, though details on the new arrangements have not been disclosed.
