Millionaire gymnast Livvy Dunne has made her silver screen debut in the trailer for the relaunch of 'Baywatch', wearing the iconic red swimsuit for the first time. Fans have been quick to hail the cast as the "hottest cast ever" as the trailer shows shot after shot of slow-mo running.
First Glimpse of the New Series
Dunne was cast earlier this year in the revival of what has been called "the most popular show in television history". The trailer offers the first look at her in the famous red bathing suit, after she had already teased fans with an Instagram dump in August.
In the behind-the-scenes pictures, she revealed she would be portraying Grace, an enthusiastic junior lifeguard. Fans were quick to race to the comments to shower her with compliments.
Fan Reaction and Broadcast Details
One fan declared: "The hottest cast ever." While a second said: "I so can't wait to see you in Baywatch!" A third gushed: "Jesus. There should be laws against looking this good." As a fourth shared: "Who needs Pam when we have Livvy?" And another added: "January can’t come fast enough!"
The relaunch will air in January, with FOX having granted the series last year. Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network, said: “In its first run, ‘Baywatch’ defined an entire era of beach life and elevated lifeguards to an iconic status. Now, with our partners at Fremantle, this television juggernaut is set for a modern-day comeback.”
“Together, Fox and Fremantle, along with Matt Nix and original co-creator Greg Bonann, will bring the California dream to a whole new generation of fans with fresh stories, rising stars and all the spectacle that make the ‘Baywatch’ franchise a global sensation.”
Dunne's Rise to Fame
Dunne has already made her millions as a gymnast thanks to the change in rules back in 2021 that allowed college athletes to profit off their image and name.
Speaking to the New York Post she said: "I just want to be a role model to young girls. I want to set a good example, and I want to send out a message that we're more than just our sport. That's very important to me. I don't try to put any pressure on myself, and I don't try to compare myself to other people. I'm kind of just going with the flow, and it's very exciting."
"Right now it's all about trying to find a balance between school, social media and gymnastics. All them are top priorities in my life. I think it's really a special time right now with the NIL change, especially for women's sports because there's not a lot of professional leagues after college for women."
