Trolls Mock Man Killed by Tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park
Trolls Mock Tiger Death at Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Yorkshire Wildlife Park has been targeted by online trolls posting fake reviews that mock the death of William Chapman, 24, who was mauled by a tiger at the attraction near Doncaster, South Yorks., on October 10. The pranksters left sarcastic comments on Google and Trust Pilot after Chapman jumped into the enclosure housing five-year-old Altai, a rare Amur tiger.

Fake Reviews Mock Tragedy

One reviewer wrote: “The tigers are to die for.” Another left a four-star Google review reading: “Nice place to get up and personal for hands on experience with tigers.” A third joked: “It's nice that you can see a tiger up close.” On Trust Pilot, one reviewer claimed the park was “unsafe for the public” after the incident.

Incident Details

Chapman filmed himself walking up to the apex predator and posted the footage on Instagram seconds before he was fatally injured. An inquest opening heard he had a history of mental illness. This is not the first time his death has been mocked online; US President Donald Trump sparked outrage by posting a clip of the attack to his 13 million Truth Social followers, including an AI-generated video of himself grappling with a big cat.

Park Reopens After Investigation

Yorkshire Wildlife Park reopened six days after the incident. City of Doncaster Council said it was carrying out a health and safety investigation.
