The incident occurred on Saturday when the victim, Bhupinder Singh, responded to a distress call from his brother, Ranveer Singh, who reported being assaulted by a rival group.

According to police reports, Bhupinder Singh, a resident of Zirakpur near Chandigarh, was allegedly attacked by Gurpreet Singh and seven associates over a long-standing personal feud. The confrontation began as a verbal altercation but quickly spiraled into extreme violence. Gurpreet Singh is accused of striking Bhupinder Singh with a sword during the assault, leading to catastrophic injuries.
As Bhupinder Singh attempted to defend himself with his hand, he suffered a partial loss of his arm near the elbow, along with deep wounds to his chest and waist. His brother, Ranveer Singh, was also injured in the attack, sustaining blows to his head and eye.
