History teacher Vicki Williams has told a jury she believed she was going to die after being stabbed multiple times by a 15-year-old student at Milford Haven School in Pembrokeshire. The incident occurred on February 5, 2026, at the end of the school day when the pair were alone in the classroom.
Attack Details
Mrs Williams sustained injuries to her head, hands, and back during the attack. She described being hit with such force that she fell back into her chair. A violent struggle ensued, during which she eventually managed to take the knife from the teenager, but not before suffering a penetrating wound to her head and cuts and grazes to her hands and back.
“I knew I had been stabbed to the head. I am fearful of dying. I have seen the size of the knife. All I am thinking about is: ‘I need help,’” Mrs Williams told Swansea Crown Court.
Defence Claims Accidental Injury
Defence barrister Matthew Roberts KC suggested the defendant had a vacant look on his face at the time. Mrs Williams responded: “Those eyes are not something I am going to forget quickly. The look was pure hatred.” She added that she had known the defendant for years and had never had an issue with him before.
The prosecution alleges the pupil launched a planned and deliberate murderous attack with a knife he brought to school. The defence maintains the injuries were accidental and occurred when the pupil refused to hand over the knife to the teacher upon request.
Charges and Trial
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with attempted murder, inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, and unlawful wounding. He denies all charges. The trial continues at Swansea Crown Court.
