Stirling Boxer Fights for Life After Thailand Accident

Stirling fighter Colin Cairney is fighting for his life in Thailand after a devastating accident. The 22-year-old boxer, who trains at the 1314 Boxing Club in Braehead, was on holiday with his family when the incident occurred.

Recent Victory

Cairney had recently celebrated a major victory, defeating English fighter Taylor Greig last month in Glasgow for the vacant Commonwealth International welterweight belt. Now, he faces a different battle after being placed on life support.

Fundraiser Launched

Supporters have launched a fundraiser to help with medical costs, as Cairney does not have travel insurance. The 1314 Boxing Club shared the news on social media, describing it as a heartbreaking time.
