Food recalls: Pasta salads, seeds, and crisps
Greencore is recalling three pasta products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected items are: Asda Cheese & Tomato Pasta Salad (300g, use by August 10 2026, product code 5063089221990), Asda Nacho Cheese Pasta Salad (500g, use by August 9 2026, product code 5063717198311), and Morrisons Chicken and Bacon Pasta (300g, use by August 7 2026, product code 5010251790587). Symptoms of listeriosis can resemble flu, including high temperature, muscle aches, chills, feeling or being sick, and diarrhoea. In rare cases, it can lead to severe complications like meningitis. Consumers are advised not to eat these products and to return them to Asda or Morrisons for a full refund.
A.Vogel Ltd is recalling Rapunzel bioSnacky Das Original Red Clover Seeds for Sprouts and Seedlings (30g, batch 11293, best before December 2028) because E. coli (STEC) has been found in the seed. Symptoms can include severe diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and occasionally haemolytic uremic syndrome, which can lead to kidney failure and be fatal. Consumers should throw the seeds away or return them for a refund, and should not grow or eat the sprouts.
ASR Solutions Ltd is recalling Lay's Sour Cream & Dill Crisps (125g, all best before dates up to and including 31 October 2026) because they contain milk and wheat (gluten) not mentioned on the label. Sold at Home Bargains, these crisps pose a risk to those with allergies. Affected consumers should return them for a refund.
Product recalls: Jug, fan, micellar water, and balloons
Marks and Spencer has recalled a hand-painted jug from its home section. The blue tinted jug with painted leaf decorations may break during use, posing an injury risk. It does not meet the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 and has been withdrawn from sale. Consumers should stop using it and return it for a refund.
B&Q has urgently recalled a tabletop fan (model FT23, barcode 5063022605689, batch numbers 25W50, 26W05, 26W11, manufactured by Kingfisher International Products Limited) due to a fault in the oscillation mechanism that can damage internal wiring, presenting a risk of electric shock and fire. Consumers should stop using it and return it to B&Q.
Simple is recalling certain batches of its Kind to Skin micellar water (730ml, batches 613841 and 613941, barcode 8720181894381) because affected batches may be microbiologically contaminated, which could cause eye inflammation. Sold at B&M, Home Bargains, and Savers, consumers should not use the product and return it for a full refund.
Finally, a 25-pack of blue party balloons from the Eurowrap brand (batch/lot 5330002193, SKU 12924-BCC) has been recalled due to a 'serious chemical risk'. The balloons contain excess N-nitrosamines and N-nitrosatable substances, which are carcinogenic, and a child could be exposed when touching or putting them in the mouth. Consumers should stop using them, keep them out of reach of children, and return them for a full refund.
