Police seek woman after dog mauls two children in Leicester

Two children, aged six and 11, were taken to hospital after being mauled by a dog at a playground in Leicester. The incident occurred on April 19 at a playground on Vernon Street, near Newfoundpool. The children sustained bite marks to their legs and thighs.

Police appeal for woman to come forward

Leicestershire Police have released CCTV images of a woman they believe may have information about the attack. The force is asking the public to help identify her. A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident was reported to us and we hope the public can help us move the investigation on. We know the images are not the best quality, but we hope someone will recognise the woman or the dog. If this is you or you have any suspicions about who the woman may be, we would urge you to get in touch.”
