Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have launched an investigation after a disturbance involving threats and damage was followed by a shooting at the same address on Eamont Walk in Harpurhey, north Manchester. The incidents occurred on July 9 and July 10, 2026, respectively, with no injuries reported.
Disturbance on July 9
Police received a report of a disturbance at a property on Eamont Walk, part of an estate off Carisbrook Street, on July 9. Two men, both wearing balaclavas, were seen—one on a Surron bike and the other on foot. Others were reportedly nearby in a blue vehicle. Threats were made towards the occupants, and damage was caused to the home and a car parked on the driveway.
Firearm discharge on July 10
The following day, July 10, a report was received of a firearm being discharged at the same address. GMP is appealing for any CCTV or dashcam footage from the surrounding areas between 5.50pm and 6.40pm on July 9, and between 12.30am and 1am on July 10.

In a statement, GMP said: "We are asking for your help regarding two separate incidents on Eamont Walk, Harpurhey on 9 July and on 10 July 2026. A report of a disturbance at an address after threats were made to occupants and damage was made to their home and vehicle on their driveway. Two men, both wearing balaclavas, were seen - the first on a Surron bike and the other on foot, while others were seen nearby in a blue vehicle. We are looking for any CCTV/dashcam footage in the surrounding areas from between 5.50pm to 6.40pm on 09/07/2026. The following day, there was a report of a firearm being discharged at the same address. We are looking for any CCTV/dashcam footage in the surrounding areas from between 00.30am to 1am on 10/07/2026. No injuries reported
