A peaceful evening on one of Texas's most popular tourist attractions turned into a scene of chaos and violence after a woman allegedly unleashed a pepper spray attack on a group of eight people, which included a young child.
Confrontation on the River Walk
The incident occurred on the bustling San Antonio River Walk around 8:45pm on Saturday. According to a police report seen by the Daily Mail, the altercation began when a boat operator asked an unidentified woman to lower the volume on her mobile phone. This seemingly minor request triggered an aggressive response from the passenger.
The boat operator subsequently stalled the vessel, at which point the woman began what authorities describe as 'verbally threatening' other people on board. Videos that have since gone viral on TikTok, amassing millions of views, capture the woman in a profanity-laden rant.
The Viral Tirade and Alleged Assault
In one clip, the suspect is heard aggressively confronting another woman who was filming the outburst. 'Stop recording me, b**ch, or I'll slap you in your s**t, the f**k,' she yelled, continuing, 'I will slap your s**t, I will, I will.' Another person with the suspect attempted to intervene by grabbing her arm and pulling her away, but the verbal assault continued unabated.
After exiting the boat, the situation escalated further. A separate video clip shows the woman moving to a bridge. As the boat passed underneath, she allegedly used a can of pepper spray attached to her purse to target the group. 'She sprayed everyone,' a witness can be heard telling police in the footage.
Aftermath and Ongoing Investigation
The aftermath of the pepper spray attack was captured in other online videos, which showed several people in visible distress. A young child was filmed crying and wiping his eyes, while a woman was seen holding the toddler. Another man was bent over in pain, pressing his fingers to his eyes as he left the boat.
San Antonio Police confirmed that the suspect fled the area before officers could arrive. As of now, no arrests have been made and the investigation remains active. Authorities are working to identify the woman responsible for the shocking assault on the popular tourist thoroughfare.
