A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a lorry in the centre of Tenby.

Emergency response in Tenby town centre

Emergency services were called to the High Street area of the town centre, near the Royal Lion Hotel, at around 12.20pm on Friday. Police, fire crews, and paramedics all attended the scene, and High Street and some adjoining roads were blocked off.

Injuries and road reopening

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. The roads were reopened at around 2pm.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Officers attended a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a heavy goods vehicle on High Street, Tenby, at around 12.20pm on August 21.

"The ambulance and fire and rescue services also attended and the road was closed.

"The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries not deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing."
