A 21-year-old Netflix actress has died following a car collision in which another vehicle was allegedly travelling at 94mph in a 35mph zone.
Morgan Gamble, a student at Clark Atlanta University studying television, film and radio, previously appeared in the Netflix reboot of A Different World. Her car was struck by another vehicle, and she was found at the scene in critical condition. The other driver has reportedly been charged with reckless driving, speeding and first-degree vehicular homicide.
Investigation ongoing
Both Morgan and the other driver were taken to hospital. The investigation is still ongoing, and online tributes have poured in from fans and those who knew her.
Showrunner Felicia Pride honoured Morgan with a statement: "So very sorry and sad to hear about the passing of Morgan Gamble, who in addition to being a superstar student at Clark Atlanta, was also a background performer on A DIFFERENT WORLD."
"We were grateful to have her be a part. Sending all of her loved ones and the CAU community love, light, and prayers."

A third person wrote: "My deepest condolences to the family and friends of those affected by this devastating loss."
Someone else added: "This is such a tremendous loss to CAU class of 2027. Morgan was my daughter's freshman roommate, friend, and they shared the same major."
"We are absolutely devastated. Please pray for everyone who loved her, especially her parents who live locally."
