Mother 'ordered lover and son' to kill twin boys

A mother in India allegedly ordered her secret lover and her eldest teenage son to slit the throats of her 13-year-old twin boys, who disapproved of her affair. The double murder took place in the village of Badesra in India's Deeg district, shocking the local community.

Victims Found Near Family Home

The victims, identified as Vinay and Vishnu Chaudhary, were found dead at around 6am on Tuesday morning (October 20) in an empty plot of land near their family home. Their maternal aunt raised the alarm earlier that morning when the boys failed to return home.

Police launched an immediate manhunt and quickly arrested the boys' widowed mother, Preeti, along with her secret partner and her 16-year-old son. According to investigators, Preeti invited her lover to the family residence, where he and her eldest son carried out the attack at her instruction.

Police Confirm Injuries

Deeg Superintendent of Police Kambale Sharan Gopinath confirmed the boys suffered severe head injuries and had their throats slit, leaving multiple cut marks across their bodies.

Detectives revealed the young twins had become an "obstacle" to Preeti's relationship with her local partner, whereas her 16-year-old son supported his mother's secret romance, according to The Times of India.

Family Background and Custody

Preeti had moved back to her parental home in Badesra with her four children, including an 18-year-old daughter, following the death of her husband, Niranjan Singh, several years ago.

All three suspects remain in custody as police continue their investigation into the tragic attack.
