Man dies after falling from Liverpool city centre car park

A man has died after falling from a multi-storey car park in Liverpool city centre on Sunday, October 11. Police were called to the ParkBee car park on Heathfield Street following reports that a man in his 30s had fallen from the building.

Emergency response

Emergency services were called shortly after 8.45pm after being told the man had suffered serious injuries in the fall. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later by paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service.

Investigation and cordon

The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin have been informed, Merseyside Police has said. A postmortem investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of death, and enquiries at the scene are ongoing.

A cordon has been set up outside the site with a number of police cars in attendance. Drivers parked at the site have been told it is unlikely they will be able to retrieve their cars tonight as officers carry out their work.
