Police appeal for information
Detective Chief Inspector Dan Bates said: "A man has tragically lost his life, and we are supporting his family at this tragic time. From initial reports, we understand that four people who were armed with weapons, carried out a sustained attack on the victim."
He added: "We are working extremely hard to identify those individuals. We have significant resources working to get answers for his family and ensure that those responsible face justice for their actions.
"This was a targeted and isolated attack; we are appealing for any information to who may have been involved to come forward and provide details to us."
