A massive fire has broken out at an industrial site near Dublin Airport, prompting a significant emergency response. Dublin Fire Brigade has dispatched five engines, including a water tanker, to the scene in Wimbletown, Balyboughal. The blaze is visible from the airport, and smoke is filling the sky.
Fire Crews on Scene
Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed the response, stating: "We're aware of the industrial fire in Wimbletown, Balyboughal and have five fire engines including a water tanker on the way. Thanks for all the 999 calls, firefighters are already on scene dealing with the fire. If you are affected by smoke close all windows and doors as a precaution."
Second Blaze in Ashtown
Another fire has been reported in Ashtown, to the North West of the city. LiveDrive in Dublin noted: "Emergency services are attending a fire near Navan Road (Ashtown). Smoke is visible across the area. Take care."
Residents in the affected areas are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.
