A Halloween celebration turned into a nightmare scenario at Huntingdon railway station when what began as a costume prank escalated into a violent stabbing that left a young man seriously injured.
The terrifying incident unfolded on Tuesday evening around 7:30 PM, when a 21-year-old man approached another individual while wearing a Halloween mask. According to eyewitness accounts, the confrontation quickly turned violent, resulting in the masked man being stabbed multiple times.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Emergency services rushed to the scene following multiple distress calls from concerned commuters. Paramedics treated the victim at the station before transporting him to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with serious, though not life-threatening, injuries.
British Transport Police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. Detective Sergeant Steve Tipping confirmed that officers are treating this as an isolated incident between individuals known to each other, rather than a random attack on the travelling public.
