Police are investigating after activists vandalised a logistics firm in Glasgow they claim has links to Israel.
The group targeted DB Schenker, part of DSV, which they allege provides “logistics transport services” to Israeli defence technology company Elbit Systems.
Paint and broken windows
Activists say they by-passed security in the early hours of Tuesday and covered the building’s foyer and offices with paint and messages saying “Drop Elbit” on the walls.
Pictures from the scene also showed broken windows at the building, which is in the Hillington area.
Previous incidents
The group said the action came after incidents targeting DSV at Birmingham Airport and Bristol earlier this year.
A spokesperson for the Glasgow group said: “As long as DSV and its subsidiaries maintain their contract with Elbit Systems, property damage and disruption will continue.”
The autonomous group said dropping Elbit could be DSV’s “wisest logistics decision yet”.
Police response
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6am on Tuesday August 4, police received a report of premises in Mossland Road, Hillington, Glasgow, having been vandalised.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
DSV has been approached for comment.
