Girl, 4, Seriously Injured When Empty Car Rolls Over Her

A four-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after an unoccupied car rolled over her in a car park in Eastham, Merseyside, on Saturday afternoon. Emergency services were dispatched to the car park near Mimosa Tea Gardens at approximately 3:50 PM on June 20.

Incident Details

The little girl was near the ticket machine in the car park when the vehicle, which had no one inside, began to move and rolled onto her. Witnesses reported that a group of people nearby rushed to help and managed to push the car off the child before paramedics arrived.

The girl was then taken to hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition, according to Merseyside Police.

Police Investigation and Appeal

Merseyside Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The owner of the vehicle remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their inquiries. A police spokesperson said: "An investigation is underway, and we are appealing for anyone who saw the incident to please contact us."
