A passenger on an easyJet flight from Luton to Amsterdam was denied travel after behaving disruptively on board, leading to a chaotic scene that required the captain's intervention. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 13, 2026, as the aircraft was taxiing for take-off from Luton Airport.
Captain Wrestles Disruptive Passenger
According to reports, the plane was moving toward the runway when a drunk passenger began violently head-butting the toilet door. Witnesses described the man as a 'thug' who had been causing trouble earlier. The captain rushed from the cockpit and, with the help of flight attendants, wrestled the passenger to the floor in the rear galley. During the struggle, another passenger reportedly delivered a flying drop-kick to the unruly man.
easyJet Statement
An easyJet spokesperson confirmed that the passenger on Flight EZY2511 from Luton to Amsterdam was denied travel due to disruptive behavior before departure. The airline stated that cabin crew and ground staff are trained to assess and handle such incidents quickly and appropriately, emphasizing that abusive or threatening behavior toward staff is not tolerated. The safety and well-being of customers and crew remain the highest priority.
Witness Account
One passenger aboard the flight told The Sun that two men were arguing at security, with one denied boarding for being too drunk. However, his friend made it onto the plane. The man who boarded began screaming abuse down his phone and threatening to fight passengers. Crew moved him to the front of the plane, but as the aircraft taxied, he lost control, jumped up, demanded to get off, and sprinted down the aisle to the back, where he started head-butting the toilet door, leaving a dent.
After a ten-minute struggle, ground staff dragged the passenger off the plane to a massive collective cheer from other passengers.
