Horrifying footage captured the moment two thugs repeatedly stabbed a man and battered him with a hammer in broad daylight in Hamilton, Lanarkshire. The attack took place on Donaldson Street on Sunday, according to the Record.
Attack Details
The horrifying video, which the Record has chosen not to show as the clip is too distressing to share, shows the victim lying defenceless in an area of spare ground surrounded by trees beside homes. A knifeman is seen plunging a blade into the victim's back and twice in his upper leg. At the same time, a second attacker is seen armed with a hammer. In disturbing scenes, he appears to scrape the hammer across the victim's neck area before striking him over the back of the head as the man lies helpless on the ground.
Aftermath and Suspects
Before leaving, the hammer-wielding attacker stands over the injured man, shouting at him while pointing the weapon in his direction. The victim is then seen lying on the ground clutching his head following his ordeal. The brutal attack unfolded in full view of nearby homes in broad daylight, with horrified neighbours recording it. The knifeman is clearly visible in the clip with short grey hair and is wearing a grey jumper, black trousers and brown boots. The second attacker can be seen with a shaved head and dressed in a white T-shirt, black trousers and black shoes.
Police Involvement
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
