Bus Driver Attacked at Shudehill: CCTV Appeal Issued

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to following an assault on a bus driver at Shudehill Interchange in Manchester city centre. The incident occurred at around 10.15pm on June 22, when a man boarded a bus without a valid ticket.

Details of the Assault

According to police, the bus driver challenged the man for not having a ticket. In response, the man reportedly grabbed the driver by the arm and attempted to pull him from his cab. The driver was not seriously injured but was left shaken by the ordeal.

Police Investigation and Appeal

GMP launched an investigation into the assault and shared a photo of a suspect on the GMP City Centre Facebook page on July 7. The force believes the man in the image 'can help with the investigation'. Officers are urging anyone who recognises him or has any information to come forward.
