A man has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition following a violent stabbing inside a restaurant on New South Wales' Central Coast on Boxing Day.

Violence Erupts Amid Evening Celebrations

The incident unfolded around 6pm on The Entrance Road, shocking diners and revellers who witnessed the attack. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene where they discovered a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Due to the severity of his injuries, the victim was airlifted from the scene to receive urgent medical treatment. His current condition remains serious.

Swift Arrest Made Nearby

Following the stabbing, officers quickly located and arrested a suspect nearby. A 40-year-old man was taken into custody at Long Jetty, not far from the restaurant. Police believe the arrested individual is known to the victim.

The suspect was transported to Wyong Police Station where he is assisting officers with their enquiries. Meanwhile, forensic specialists have established a crime scene at the restaurant as the investigation progresses.
