A serial domestic abuser has been jailed for harassing his former partner while serving a suspended sentence for a violent attack on the same woman. Adam Wiggins, 35, from Treorchy, was sentenced to nine weeks in prison on June 5 for harassment without violence, and his previously suspended 24-month sentence was activated, to run consecutively.
Brutal Attack and Suspended Sentence
In February 2026, Wiggins received a 24-month sentence, suspended for two years, for causing grievous bodily harm without intent. The attack occurred in August 2025, when he beat the woman, Kerry Ford, and left her bleeding and unconscious. Kerry later described feeling 'left for dead,' recalling multiple blows to her face and head before waking up to being kicked. She was found by police covered in blood and required hospitalization for injuries including a 5-6cm head wound, a deep 3cm head wound, a lacerated finger, and bruises.
At the time of the attack, Wiggins was on bail for a separate complaint of abusive behavior. He had six previous convictions for seven offences, three related to battery of other partners. Despite his history, Judge Vanessa Francis imposed a suspended sentence, warning there would be 'no second chances.' Kerry expressed feeling let down and living in fear.
Harassment and Imprisonment
Just four months later, Wiggins appeared again at Cardiff Crown Court for harassing the same woman online. He pleaded guilty to harassment without violence, receiving a nine-week prison term. His suspended sentence was activated, and time already served in custody will count toward the sentence.
