A stretch of the A57 Hyde Road in Gorton remains closed in both directions this morning (Thursday, August 6) after a car crashed into a house on Wednesday evening. The road is shut from Balmoral Drive to Debdale Lane while accident investigation work is carried out.
Crash details
Emergency services responded to the incident at approximately 9:36pm on Wednesday (August 5). A cordon was put in place as officers and other services attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We are currently responding to reports of a collision involving a car and a house on Hyde Road, Manchester, that occurred at approximately 9:36pm tonight (5 August). Emergency services are at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. Road closures are in place so please avoid the area where possible."
