Tragic Two-Car Collision in Heighington Results in Fatality
A man in his 30s has died following a serious road traffic collision in Heighington, County Durham, on Friday evening. Two other pedestrians, a man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s, were hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries, though the man's injuries were described as serious. The bus driver, a woman in her 50s, was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Bus Eireann expressed deep sadness over the incident, with Chief Executive Jean O'Sullivan extending condolences to the family of the deceased. The company is cooperating fully with the ongoing Garda investigation.
