Coronation Street scenes aired on Friday night have suggested that Jodie Ramsey may not be the person behind the anonymous trolling targeting Daniel Osbourne. The teacher, played by Rob Mallard for over a decade, has been struggling to cope with the revelation that his ex-girlfriend Megan was a paedophile who abused teenager Will Driscoll.
An anonymous social media account known as Truthteller has been spreading malicious lies about Daniel, claiming he is as bad as Megan. Viewers previously saw Jodie, Shona Platt's long-lost sister, break into Daniel's flat and later become his girlfriend. She was revealed to be behind the original Truthteller account, but after the abusive messages stopped and the account was deleted, a new account called Truthteller2 appeared.
During a family meal at the Bistro, Jodie expressed shock, saying, "What?! How has that happened?" and added, "It must be someone else. Why would the Truthteller become their own sequel?" Tracy suggested it could be a ploy to hide their identity. The latest message claimed Daniel should have his son Bertie taken away, and since it arrived moments before, Daniel suspected someone at the restaurant could be responsible. With Jodie seemingly ruling herself out, the suspects include Tracy, Adam Barlow, Alya Nazir, and Leanne Battersby.
Meanwhile, Sam Blakeman, who first suspected Megan's relationship with Will, has been experiencing hallucinations due to trauma. Fans have taken to social media to share their theories. One fan on X said, "Jodie is definitely going to pay someone else to play Truthteller to ensure the heat is off her?" Another commented, "Well, it can't be our Jodie trolling Daniel. She's sitting next to him." However, some remain convinced Jodie is still pulling the strings. One fan remarked, "Jodie using the name truth teller is pretty funny since I don't think she'd tell the truth about anything unless there was something in it for her."
On Reddit, a user speculated, "I assume that Jodie is a psychopath. I actually knew a woman with psychopathic traits who tore up family and friend groups. I assume this is where they're going with Jodie." Another added, "I am genuinely just impatiently waiting for Jodie to be exposed. It's driving me nuts. Can't wait for the 'the IP address is coming from INSIDE your house!?' moment." They continued, "They have to go down the psychopath route surely because most of her behaviour is totally nonsensical but always manipulative and self-interested. She seems to want to keep Daniel weak so he needs her? Can't wait for David to have his 'told you so' moment too."
