Chris Johnson, 58, from Rhyl, died at the scene of the collision at Llanuwchllyn on the evening of Thursday, October 15, when his BMW 40i collided with a black Mitsubishi L200. The crash happened shortly after 7.30pm.

His family said: "Chris loved nothing more than to be out with his friends on his motorbike travelling the beautiful roads of north Wales, or spending time in the gym. He was always committed to supporting anyone including his family, friends and colleagues in their times of need."

They added: "Chris was a husband, father, son, grandad, brother, uncle and cousin and the centre of our family. He could make you smile even at the most difficult times and saw the positives in so many things."

The family continued: "Words cannot express the impact he had on so many. The family have requested privacy at this time to enable them to grieve the loss of Chris."

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Officers continue to investigate the collision which happened at around 7.35pm on October 15 on the A494 at Llanuwchllyn."
