Police in Florida have arrested a man accused of carrying out a brazen robbery at a local meat market while wearing nothing but a face mask.
The Unusual Incident at BJ's Meat Market
Officers from the Lake City Police Department responded to a call from BJ's Meat Market last Tuesday evening. Employees reported that a suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Kobe Watkins, had entered the store completely nude apart from a covering over his face.
According to the initial reports, Watkins also had a cloth wrapped around an object that staff believed to be a weapon, adding a further layer of threat to the already shocking situation.
Swift Arrest Following the Theft
Watkins is accused of stealing more than $1,000 from a cash box during the incident before fleeing the scene. However, his escape was short-lived.
Investigators utilised surveillance footage from the market and gathered evidence from the nearby area, which led them to swiftly locate and detain the suspect.
Multiple Charges Filed
Following his arrest, Kobe Watkins was booked into the Columbia County Detention Centre. He now faces a series of serious charges including:
- Robbery with a weapon
- Exposure of sexual organs
- Grand theft
- Criminal mischief
The case, which occurred on Tuesday 30 December 2025, continues to be processed by local authorities, combining elements of a standard theft with the highly unusual circumstances of the suspect's state of undress.
