Residents of an exclusive West Babylon gated community were thrown into panic after a brazen individual fired a flare gun at multiple homes in a shocking late-night attack.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday evening, sent emergency services rushing to the scene on Brookvale Drive after reports of a projectile weapon being discharged.
According to Suffolk County police, the suspect targeted several properties within the secure community, with one flare striking a home and causing visible damage.
Police Response and Investigation
Law enforcement officials confirmed they responded to numerous 911 calls around 10:30 PM reporting the unusual attack. Officers from the Fifth Precinct quickly secured the area while detectives launched an immediate investigation.
