British YouTuber Yung Filly bit and slapped a young fan while raping her following a concert, a court has heard. The trial of the social media personality has begun, and jurors heard that he violently and repeatedly sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman in Perth in September 2024.
Charges and Plea
The 30-year-old rapper, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, pleaded not guilty to six counts of sexually penetrating a woman without consent. He also denies impeding the woman’s breathing by applying pressure to her neck and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
Details of the Assault
Prosecutor Danielle Clarke told the district court of Western Australia on Monday that Barrientos and the woman, who cannot be identified, initially engaged in consensual sex in the performer’s room at the Intercontinental Hotel. However, Yung Filly became violent and started biting and slapping the woman before raping her multiple times, Clarke said during her opening remarks.
“What should have been an exciting night out meeting her celebrity crush Yung Filly was fun until it wasn’t,” she said. The woman allegedly suffered multiple injuries, including extensive bruising to her face and neck and bite wounds on her right breast.
The court heard the woman was a fan of Yung Filly and had gone to the gig at a bar in Perth’s northern suburbs. After his set, she was invited into a VIP area where she met the musician. He told her “you’re coming home with me tonight” before pushing his hand down the back of her pants, Clarke said. The pair left the venue about 3am with the rapper’s all-male entourage in tow.
The woman believed she was being taken to an after-party, Clarke said. Instead, they went to Yung Filly’s hotel, where one of his minders took her phone and the performer led her to room 217.
Violence During the Encounter
During sex, Barrientos allegedly bit the woman’s neck and breast numerous times. “The bites hurt and [the woman] said ouch and asked the accused to be gentle,” Clarke said. Barrientos allegedly told her to stop talking and bit her harder before slapping her. During the incident, Barrientos told her to say “I’m Filly’s dirty whore” but she refused, Clarke said.
Prosecutors say it was at this point that the woman started to fear for her own safety and consent to sex was withdrawn. “She didn’t know how to get herself out of the situation and decided to do what the accused wanted,” Clarke said. Barrientos allegedly then raped the woman multiple times before ordering himself a Wagyu burger via room service.
Aftermath and Trial
As the woman was getting ready to leave the hotel room, one of Barrientos’s minders came into the room, and she heard the performer tell him that she was not “good in bed,” the court was told. Barrientos allegedly grabbed her breasts as she was leaving and said to the minder: “How good are her boobs?”
