MAFS Star Films Creepy Man Spying on Her in Bikini

A Married At First Sight star has shared the disturbing reality of being a woman alone abroad. Evelyn Ellis, 30, who appeared on MAFS in 2023, was holidaying in Monaco when she noticed something strange while recording a video of herself in a bikini.

Creepy Encounter Caught on Camera

Evelyn has been building her brand as a content creator and was filming content for her social media. However, she soon realised she wasn't alone in pressing the record button. In the background of her video, a man could be seen holding his phone up and recording her.

Evelyn explained that she felt "unsafe" and "uncomfortable" when she realised the man was filming her slyly. Over the video, she wrote: "I hate how unsafe and uncomfortable some men make women feel. This man stood outside filming me for 45 minutes while I was in the privacy of my own villa."

Confronting the Man

In the clip, Evelyn adjusted her crochet bikini with shell detailing while the man brazenly recorded her. When she had enough, she turned around to stare him out. The man had the audacity to raise his arm in a greeting. Evelyn rolled her eyes and asked, "Is he okay?" Then she shouted, "Are you okay? Are you alright?" causing the man to look embarrassed and walk away.

Reactions from Viewers

Viewers were outraged by the man's behaviour. One commented: "Girl, this is not okay." Another said: "Why didn’t you tell him you were calling the police?" Others praised Evelyn for handling the situation, calling her a "queen" and noting that the "villa isn't very private."

Legal Context

Filming or photographing individuals in private spaces without consent is a criminal offence in Monaco, punishable by fines and potential criminal charges. Offenders risk having their devices confiscated and destroyed. In the UK, filming without consent is generally legal in public spaces but becomes illegal if it infringes on privacy or constitutes harassment.

One commenter shared a similar experience: "I saw a man filming a group of girls at the beach. I walked up to him and said, 'Are you ok?' The man ran off." If you feel unsafe, call 999.
