Former Model Husband Faces Serious Allegations
Kieran Hayler, the ex-husband of glamour model Katie Price, has made his first court appearance after being charged with multiple sexual offences against a child. The 38-year-old arrived at Crawley Magistrates' Court braving snowy conditions, dressed in a black coat and trousers with a white shirt.
Hayler faces three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault concerning a girl who was just 13 years old at the time of the alleged offences. The charges relate to incidents said to have occurred between 1st June and 13th October 2016.
Legal Proceedings Begin
During the hearing, Hayler's legal representative stated that their client strongly denies all allegations made against him. Through his lawyer, Hayler said: "Kieran Hayler strongly denies the allegations made against him in its entirety."
The statement continued: "Mr Hayler is fully engaged and has been co-operating with the police throughout the investigation and will continue to do so. He looks forward to his name being cleared believing in the judicial system to do so."
Police Investigation and Support
Sussex Police confirmed last month that Hayler, from Northchapel in West Sussex, had been formally charged. The alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has received support from specially trained officers throughout the investigation.
Hayler remains released under investigation while legal proceedings continue. The case marks another difficult chapter for the former husband of Katie Price, who has previously faced media scrutiny over their relationship and subsequent divorce.
