Merseyside Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe can assist their investigation into a sexual assault in Liverpool city centre. The incident occurred at Soho bar in Concert Square at around 9.50pm on Sunday, June 21, when a man was sexually assaulted by another man.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries
Since the incident, extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted, and detectives have now issued CCTV images from the night of the incident. Detective Inspector Joe Rea said: “We take reports of any sexual assaults in our city centre very seriously.
“No one should be subjected to such inappropriate behaviour and the victim was very distressed after the incident.
“I am appealing to anyone who remembers being at the bar on Sunday, June 21 and recognises this man or knows who he is to please contact us. We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
“While some months have passed since the incident, any information you hold could be vital to our enquiries.”
