A man and woman have been arrested following reports of a serious sexual offence at playing fields in a Welsh town. Police taped off part of the Memorial Playing Fields in Ruthin after an incident in the early hours of Monday morning (July 20).

North Wales Police confirmed officers are investigating a serious sexual offence that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning in the Park Road/Memorial Playing Fields area of Ruthin.
A spokesperson said: "A man and a woman have been arrested and subsequently released on conditional police bail whilst our investigation continues."
