Depraved Killer Sentenced for Brutal Murder of Sleeping Woman
A depraved individual who murdered a family friend as she slept in a horrific attack has been handed a significant prison sentence. Ernestas Juska, 21, was sentenced to 24 years and seven months in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of 39-year-old Nina Denisova.
A Premeditated Attack
The court heard that Juska had told police he wanted to 'lash out' and hurt someone prior to the attack in his Dartford home in August 2024. He admitted to having consumed alcohol and taken cocaine on the night before the violent assault.
While Nina Denisova was sleeping, Juska repeatedly stabbed her with a kitchen knife. After carrying out the murder, he then committed a further sexual offence against his victim.
The Aftermath and Arrest
Following the attack, Juska left the property and walked to a nearby bus stop. In a chilling turn of events, he then approached a member of the public and asked them to call the police, confessing that he had just killed someone.
Juska formally entered his guilty plea at a hearing on Friday, July 18, at Maidstone Crown Court.
Will Bodiam from the Crown Prosecution Service commented on the case, stating: "The Crown Prosecution Service worked closely with Kent Police to build the strongest possible case, with this joint work resulting in today’s guilty plea from Juska to the charges against him."
He added: "For unimaginable reasons, he carried out a violent and sustained attack on a woman he knew. Today he has had no option but to plead guilty to this horrendous act. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Nina at this exceptionally difficult time."
