A distraught Queensland mother has issued a tearful public plea for help in finding her missing 17-year-old son, Jack McLennan, who vanished from Brisbane's southern suburbs last week.
Family's Growing Desperation
Jack was last seen on Tuesday afternoon in the Sunnybank area, with his family reporting him missing when he failed to return home. His mother, visibly shaken, described the teenager as "kind-hearted" and "not the type to disappear without warning".
Police Appeal for Information
Queensland Police have launched an extensive search operation, circulating CCTV footage of Jack's last known movements. Authorities are particularly concerned as Jack left without his mobile phone or wallet.
Distinctive Features
The missing teen is described as:
- Approximately 175cm tall
- Thin build
- Brown hair and blue eyes
- Last seen wearing black shorts and a grey hoodie
Detectives are urging anyone who may have seen Jack or has information about his whereabouts to come forward immediately. Local businesses in the Sunnybank area are being asked to review their security footage from Tuesday afternoon.
"Every piece of information could be crucial," a police spokesperson stated. "We're treating this disappearance with the utmost seriousness."
