Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify after a reported stabbing at a Wetherspoon pub in Sheffield city centre. The incident occurred at the Bankers Draft Pub on June 21 at 9.53pm, when a man was allegedly stabbed in the head.

Details of the attack

South Yorkshire Police were called to the pub following reports of an assault. The victim was reportedly sitting inside the pub when he was stabbed in the head. The pub was cordoned off as officers began their investigation. The suspect is seen in the CCTV footage drying his hands in the toilets, wearing dark shorts and a brown shirt.

Police appeal for information

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: "We are releasing CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to in connection with an assault in a Sheffield pub. It is reported that on 21 June at 9.53 pm, a man was stabbed in the head as he was sat in the Bankers Draft Pub. Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen to identify the man in the images as they may be able to assist with enquiries."
