A Pennsylvania father has been charged with the horrific murder of his four-year-old son, whom he allegedly decapitated before posting a gruesome photo of the act online.
Justin Rose, 32, is accused of killing his son, who suffered from a chronic illness, in their home in the town of Lehigh. Authorities say Rose then uploaded a disturbing image of the crime to social media before fleeing the scene.
Shocking Details Emerge
According to police reports, Rose had been caring for his son, who had an undisclosed medical condition. Neighbours described the family as quiet, with no prior signs of trouble.
"It's absolutely devastating," said one local resident. "No one could have imagined something like this happening here."
Social Media Post Triggers Investigation
The investigation began when concerned social media users reported the graphic image posted by Rose. Law enforcement quickly traced the post to Rose's home, where they discovered the child's remains.
Police have not disclosed the exact contents of the post but confirmed it was sufficiently disturbing to prompt immediate action.
Community in Shock
The small Pennsylvania community has been left reeling by the brutal crime. Local officials have offered counselling services to residents struggling to process the tragedy.
"Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this senseless act," said a spokesperson for the Lehigh County District Attorney's office.
Rose is currently being held without bail and faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder. If convicted, he could face the death penalty.
