A shocking hit-and-run incident has left a pedestrian with potentially life-changing injuries near one of London's most iconic landmarks, as police launch an urgent manhunt for the culprits.
The collision occurred around 9:15pm on Thursday near Westminster Cathedral, when a vehicle struck a pedestrian before speeding away from the scene without stopping. Both the driver and their passenger are believed to have fled on foot after abandoning the vehicle nearby.

Emergency services rushed to the scene following multiple 999 calls from horrified witnesses. Metropolitan Police officers, London Ambulance Service paramedics, and London Air Ambulance teams worked together to treat the victim at the scene before transporting them to a major trauma centre.
