The blast occurred at a home in a residential area in the heart of Islamabad, hours after the wedding reception had concluded. According to the Islamabad police, the explosion happened while guests who had gathered to celebrate the couple were sleeping inside the property. Seven other individuals were injured in the incident and were rushed for medical treatment.
