Two men have been arrested in London after an incident in Birmingham in which a man was run over by a van following the removal of flags from lamp-posts. The arrests took place at Euston station near the meeting point of the 'Unite the Kingdom' march, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the men had arrived in the capital to attend the protest but were arrested over an unrelated incident that occurred in Birmingham on Thursday evening. The force did not disclose the identities of the individuals in their statement on social media.
Officers stated: 'Two men, wanted on suspicion of GBH following an incident in Birmingham where a man was run over, were spotted arriving into London to attend the protest.'
Victim's Condition
West Midlands Police reported that they are investigating the incident, which took place on Thursday evening in the Birmingham suburb of Stirchley. A man in his 30s suffered a broken leg requiring surgery and remains hospitalized. The van involved failed to stop at the scene but was later recovered on nearby Prince Road and is now being examined.
Authorities are reviewing CCTV and social media footage to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
