
A promising young television actor and his mother have been tragically killed in a brutal suspected double stabbing at their family home in London, leaving a community in mourning and a major police investigation underway.
The victims have been named by devastated friends and neighbours as 21-year-old Saqib Hussain, who had recently appeared on television, and his mother. Their bodies were discovered at a property on Magnus Road in the Stoneygate area of Leicester on Tuesday, 13 February.
A Desperate Emergency Call
Leicestershire Police were called to the address shortly after 1:30 pm following reports of a serious incident. Despite the rapid response of paramedics and officers, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
While formal identification is still pending, the local community has been left reeling from the loss. A 52-year-old man was arrested at the location on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody, assisting detectives with their enquiries.

'This is a truly horrific incident which has resulted in the needless loss of two lives,' DCI Sinski said. 'We are in the early stages of our investigation and are working to understand the full details of what has happened here today.'
