A courageous train guard has been credited with saving a man's life after a brutal stabbing at Huntingdon railway station, in what police are treating as a targeted attack.
The violent incident unfolded on the platform as a train arrived at the Cambridgeshire station, leaving a man with serious knife wounds. Quick-thinking guard Wayne Noteman immediately rushed to the victim's aid, applying crucial first aid that medical professionals say prevented a fatal outcome.
Life-Saving Actions on the Platform
Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic as the attack occurred during evening hours. Mr Noteman, showing remarkable composure under pressure, used his emergency training to stem the bleeding and keep the victim stable until paramedics could reach the scene.
"Without Wayne's immediate intervention, this could have been a very different story," stated a paramedic who attended the emergency. "His actions undoubtedly saved this man's life."
Police Investigation Underway
