Three Arrested in Memphis After High-Speed Chase from Oxford to New Orleans
Three arrested after multi-state police chase ends in Memphis

Three suspects were taken into custody in Memphis after a high-speed police chase that spanned multiple states, beginning in Oxford, Mississippi, and reaching New Orleans before circling back.

The pursuit, which involved multiple law enforcement agencies, ended when officers successfully boxed in the suspects' vehicle on a Memphis highway. Authorities reported that the chase reached dangerous speeds, putting both officers and civilians at risk.

How the Chase Unfolded

The incident began when Oxford police attempted to stop a vehicle linked to a recent burglary. When the driver refused to pull over, a pursuit ensued, quickly escalating onto interstate highways.

Investigators say the suspects drove erratically, weaving through traffic at speeds exceeding 100 mph. At one point, the vehicle was spotted in New Orleans before unexpectedly turning northbound again.

Dramatic Conclusion in Memphis

The chase finally concluded when Memphis police deployed spike strips, successfully disabling the vehicle. All three occupants were arrested without further incident.

"This was an extremely dangerous situation that could have ended tragically," said Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn Davis. "We're grateful no innocent bystanders were injured."

The suspects now face multiple charges including felony evasion, reckless endangerment, and burglary. Bond hearings are scheduled for later this week.
